Strikes against Iran on Laruck Island were initiated by the United States on Sunday afternoon. Later that evening, President Donald Trump shared a video on his Truth Social platform. The accompanying text stated: “Kharg Island being blown to smithereens.”
According to Washington Examiner, the footage is AI-generated. It depicts the rear view of a pilot’s head while overseeing a bombing mission. The objective appears to be an industrial facility on Kharg Island. No rationale was provided for the President’s decision to share it.

As of early Monday morning, the White House had issued no remarks regarding the matter. The attacks on Laruck Island marked the first operations against Iran in more than a month. These actions followed U.S. intelligence reports indicating that forces were preparing to deploy sea mines.
U.S. Central Command issued a statement on Sunday to clarify the operation. They stated: “U.S. forces took limited, precise action against the IRGC minelaying forces posing an imminent threat in the Strait of Hormuz.”
The military asserted that it had cleared the Strait of mines the previous week. The statement further noted: “In essence, Iran created the threat, and the U.S. military eliminated it to protect civilian mariners, commercial shipping, and the free flow of global commerce.”
While appearing on “Sunday Night in America with Trey Gowdy,” the President discussed the ongoing war. The program was broadcast on Fox News Sunday night. He voiced optimism regarding the outcome of the six-month conflict.
Speaking to former Congressman Trey Gowdy, he remarked: “But we’re doing a great job.” Trump commended the economic pressure his administration is exerting on the adversary. He stated: “The blockade has been unbelievable. The financial — the financial hits that we’re giving them, we’re hitting them very hard. Never — nobody’s ever been hit like this.”
He further characterized Iran as a failing nation at present. The President remarked: “And at the right point, we’ll either win or they’ll do something. But, you know, I don’t mind winning, just winning. I don’t need a signature on a piece of paper.”
Trump asserted that their navy and air force have been eliminated. He claimed their leadership is gone and all their anti-aircraft systems have been destroyed. While describing them as tough and intelligent individuals, he added: “But they are very evil.”
The video remains accessible on the President’s account without additional commentary. The strikes were directed at minelaying units that endangered maritime traffic. U.S. intelligence had observed the preparations for these assaults.
The objective of the military operation was to prevent vessels from traversing the vital nautical corridor. The U.S. military states it has now removed that particular threat. According to the President, the financial blows are severely impacting the opposing side.
Reports did not announce any new timelines for additional strikes. The White House has yet to address the AI video directly. The President continues to focus on the advancements achieved thus far in the conflict.
