Former NY Governor Comments On Trump Case During Interview

We are going to delve into some statements made recently by Andrew Cuomo, the former governor of New York who recently appeared for an interview.

During a conversation with Bill Maher, Cuomo was quite straightforward with his perspective. He holds the belief that the cases that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and New York Attorney General Letitia James have against Trump should never have been initiated.

The standout quote from Cuomo is as follows: “That case, the attorney general’s case in New York, should have never been brought. And if his name was not Donald Trump and he wasn’t running for president — I’m the former A. G. of New York, I’m telling you, that case would have never been brought.”

Keep in mind that Cuomo was previously the Attorney General of New York and later the Governor of the state.

Continuing his thoughts, Cuomo stated that the entire situation is, in his opinion, offensive to people. His point is that we all want to trust in the efficiency and fairness of our justice system.

“And that’s what is offensive to people, and it should be, because if there’s anything left, it’s belief in the justice system,” he added.

Cuomo also argued that Biden’s team didn’t get what they were hoping for after Trump’s conviction and the former president has a lot of steam headed into the conventions.

In other words, it all backfired.

One has to wonder if Cuomo’s stance was what got the DNC to throw him under the bus, and out of the blue, all these former staffers started making accusations about him.

I’m not saying those accusations weren’t founded but they had been kept quiet for some time and remember during that period Cuomo was one of the top Democrat Governors resisting then-President Trump.

Then all of sudden the guy went from DNC darling to chopped liver.

Wonder if he didn’t want to play ball.
