Kamala Harris took the stage this week with her so-called “closing argument” for the Harris-Walz ticket, and predictably, it was full of the usual rhetoric.
Her opponent, GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, she warned, is a supposed danger to the country, someone who, according to her, is chomping at the bit to walk into the Oval Office armed with an “enemies list.” And, as if on cue, she also called for “unity,” insisting we’re all not so different and shouldn’t treat each other as “the enemy” over political disagreements. Quite the interesting twist for a campaign whose slogan might as well be “Trump is the enemy.”
Now, this grand speech came shortly after Democrats—and the media, which might as well be synonymous at this point—tried to blow up a Trump rally controversy as “Exhibit A” in their case against Trump. A comedian at Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally cracked a joke about Puerto Rico, calling it a “floating island of garbage,” and Democrats didn’t miss a beat in tying the comment to Trump himself, hoping to paint him as anti-Latino. A lot of energy spent there. But unfortunately for Harris, Joe Biden swooped in to overshadow her “unity” speech with an untimely (and very on-brand) gaffe.
Just as Harris was gearing up for her D.C. speech, Biden was busy on a ‘Voto Latino’ call to try and win back some of the Hispanic vote—an area where Trump has made big inroads, by the way. And what does Biden do? He drops a gem, calling Trump’s supporters “garbage.” That’s right. The unity, anti-divisiveness crowd’s top guy insulted millions of Americans he doesn’t see eye-to-eye with, calling Trump voters “garbage.” And then came the “clarification.” The White House tried to patch things up, saying he was actually referring to the comedian in question, Tony Hinchcliffe, rather than an entire swath of the voting public. But the video clip? Crystal clear: Biden wasn’t just talking about a lone comedian—he threw Trump’s supporters right under the bus.
Pres. Biden tonight:
“Donald Trump has no character. He doesn’t give a damn about the Latino community…just the other day, a speaker at his rally called Puerto Rico a floating island of garbage?…The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters.”

So, let’s recap: Kamala Harris, in what’s likely the most important speech of her career, calls for unity, a week before the election, no less. And Biden, in his infinite wisdom, decides to play spoiler, reinforcing the very “us vs. them” attitude they accuse Trump of promoting. The irony is rich. Democrats hoped to ride a wave of faux outrage from the rally controversy straight through to the election. Instead, Biden’s “garbage” comment handed Trump yet another reason to call out the left’s hypocrisy on unity. It’s almost like he’s doing it on purpose.

For Republicans watching this, the timing couldn’t be better. Harris can talk about unity all day, but when the leader of her party is undermining her message in real time, it’s hard to take them seriously. So yes, let’s hear it again—thanks, Joe! And keep the gaffes coming.
Here is more of what Biden said…it doesn’t get any better.
Everybody needs to watch the full clip of Joe Biden calling Trump supporters “garbage”.
It’s actually much worse than the 7-15 second clip that’s floating around.
This man is going to be forced to “resign” by Kamala.
It’s almost as if he’s deliberately trying to sabotage her… pic.twitter.com/c3K6L9zD0g

Oh wait, there’s more.
Biden threatens Trump:
“I’d like to take that guy for a swim out there”
He’s angry when he’s awake. 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/OwkK0IeIVw
