Biden Makes Some Strong Claims At Summit

On June 16, 2023, the President of the United States traveled to the University of Hartford located in West hardord, Connecticut.

The event was called the National Safer Communities Summit and while there Joe Biden gave a speech.

It’s no secret that Biden isn’t a fan of gun owners and it was on full display during the speech.

Biden railed that he wants to regulate what Americans do inside their home.

“If any one of you drove over the parking lot here today, got out of your car, and left a key in your car, and a kid comes along who’s 13, 14 years old, gets in your car, takes it on a joyride and kills someone, guess what: You’re liable,” the President said. “Why should that not be the case if you don’t lock up your weapon? Why should that not be the case? Why is that not required? And most gun owners agree with me.”

However, there was one quote from Joe Biden that is going to muddy Hunter Biden’s case.

Throughout the speech, Biden bragged about the Safer Communities Act. The law includes “millions of dollars for mental health, school safety, crisis intervention programs and incentives for states to include juvenile records in the National Instant Criminal Background Check System. It also made significant changes to the process when someone ages 18 to 21 goes to buy a firearm and closes the so-called boyfriend loophole.”

Biden even boasted that if soldiers who privately own firearms don’t follow his administration’s new rules they’ll be locked up.

“We require extensive background checks and mental health assessment on them before they can allow to use them. We require them to lock them up and store the weapons responsibly or they’re court-martialed and put in the jug,” Biden said enthusiastically.

Then he got mad demanding all Americans should have the same rules he’s imposed.

“These are commonsense requirements all gun owners should follow. Every gun owner should be required to have the same requirements held to him or her,” Biden railed.

If that’s the case then how about with start with existing laws?

Hunter Biden lied on a federal form when he purchased a firearm and most people spend about three years in jail if they are convicted.

For example, the rapper known as Kodiak was sentenced in 2019 after he plead guilty to falsifying information on federal forms when he purchased four firearms. The rapper was sentenced to a little over three years and was facing a 10-year sentence.

When Hunter’s plea deal hit the newswire the rapper’s attorney was shocked.

So Joe, should we apply the same standard?
