Dem Congressman Makes Stunning Admission

So this is a super interesting report from CNN that I didn’t have on my 2023 bingo card.

The videos released by Fox host Tucker Carlson at the very least, show that there was some selective editing done by the 1/6 Committee.

CNN reporter Alayna Treene has learned that Tucker Carlson isn’t the only one Speaker of House Kevin McCarthy has allowed to view the thousands of hours of unedited video of 1/6.

Every member of congress can view them as well.

On top of that Rep. Bennie G Thompson, former chair of the Jan 6th committee, told Treene that they were never given “that type of access to the footage.”

Thompson said that McCarthy’s policy is new.

“I’m actually not aware of any member of the committee who had access. We had a team of employees who kind of went through the video,” Thompson said.

It’s a stunning admission that neither the chairman of the committee nor the members could analyze the video before McCarthy took over. The remaining question is who had control of who gets to see the video. If it was Pelosi, which is implied, it appears Thompson is passing the buck.

The fact that a Democrat is even acknowledging this shows the impact of Tucker’s videos.

Hours before CNN broke the story about 1/6 of Committee members not having access to unedited videos Elon Musk trolled Senator Chuck Schumer.

“Speaker McCarthy has held the gavel for less than three months. But by sharing the January 6th security footage with Fox News, he has already done more than any party leader in Congress to enable the spread of Donald Trump’s Big Lie,” Schumer wrote on social media.

Below is how Musk responded.

Now that we know McCarthy is allowing all members of Congress to view the video Senator Schumer has the opportunity to expose Carlson. All he has to do is make an appointment with McCarthy and release his own videos.

The ball is in your court Chuck.
