GOP Blasts Democrats Over Enormous Spending Bill

Heading into the already-fraught midterm elections, the Democratic Party needs to keep their noses clean in a major way.

There have long been predictions of a “red wave” coming to Congress in November, thanks in no small part to President Joe Biden’s inability to rein in the troubles of our country.  With inflation soaring and consumer confidence waning, the left has a long, uphill battle ahead of them.

But thanks to their latest spending bill, they’re racking up a whole mess of criticism that they cannot afford.

On Sunday, the Democrat-controlled Senate passed the massive spending package, which reportedly aims to reduce the deficit and curb inflation while “extending enhanced Obamacare subsidies, spending more than $300 billion on climate change programs, and allowing Medicare to negotiate the price of drugs,” according to Breitbart News.

The bill passed along party lines after moderate Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) struck a deal with President Joe Biden after months of resistance. Vice President Kamala Harris provided the tie-breaking vote.

High level members of the GOP were quick to explain just how the bill could backfire.

In a statement following the vote, Republican National Committee Chairwoman said that Democrats will face consequences during the November midterm elections.

“Democrats will pay the price in November for raising taxes on families during a recession,” McDaniel told Breitbart News.

This reckless spending could very well become a massive target on the Democrats’ backs as the midterms approach, solidifying the reality of that long-rumored “red wave”.
