High Drama Between McCarthy and Swalwell

There’s a report that several outlets are circulating that Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy and Rep. Eric “Fang, Fang” Swalwell almost threw down during a proceeding.

On June 21, 2023, Democrats threw a fit when the House voted to censure Rep. Adam Schiff for his deception in the Russiagate conspiracy.

As the Democrats were yelling, “Shame” Swalwell was near the speaker’s podium and had some choice words for McCarthy.

“This is pathetic,” Swalwell allegedly told McCarthy, who was presiding over the House at the time. “You’re weak. You’re a weak man.”

Witnesses told The Daily Beast that McCarthy was furious.

However, even the Daily Beast felt that one of the lawmakers they spoke with embellished a bit based on information they received later:

As the story goes, McCarthy was visibly upset with Swalwell. “He had a vein popping out of his forehead,” one member told The Daily Beast, in a likely flourish of storytelling. Another Democratic member who witnessed the exchange said McCarthy stared down Swalwell for about 10 seconds before walking away.

But it was the following day when things got exciting.

It has been reported that McCarthy told Swalwell, “If you ever say something like that to me again, I’m gonna kick the sh*t out of you.”

Members said that the two were “in each others faces” and Swalwell said something to the effect, “are we really gonna do this?”

According to reports from members who didn’t wish for their names to be published, the Daily Beast claims “members told nearly identical versions of this story.”

Swalwell used a negative word for female genitalia, and McCarthy said if he ever did it again, he’d whoop his butt (we cleaned that up).

Neither Swalwell’s office nor McCarthy’s office will not comment on the incident.

This is the level of decorum Democrats seem to be stooping to.
