Hunter Biden Convicted By Jury

Hello everyone! We’ve got quite the story to delve into today, and it’s centered around none other than Hunter Biden. In a historic criminal case, Hunter Biden, the first son, has been found guilty on all charges related to his 2018 firearm purchase.

So, what exactly happened? Let’s rewind to the beginning. The jury deliberated for a total of three hours, spanning from Monday afternoon to Tuesday morning, before delivering their verdict. Hunter Biden was found guilty of making false statements in the purchase of a firearm, providing false information required by a federally licensed gun dealer, and possessing a firearm while being an unlawful user of or addicted to controlled substances.

Following the verdict, Hunter Biden released a statement expressing his gratitude for the support he received from his loved ones and his commitment to recovery. He said, “I am more grateful today for the love and support I experienced this last week from Melissa, my family, my friends, and my community than I am disappointed by the outcome. Recovery is possible by the grace of God, and I am blessed to experience that gift one day at a time.”

The trial itself lasted about six and a half days and featured emotional testimony from Hunter’s family members, including his daughter Naomi Biden, ex-wife Kathleen Buhle, and sister-in-law turned girlfriend, Hallie Biden. The prosecution aimed to prove that Hunter Biden lied on a federal firearm form, known as ATF Form 4473, in October 2018. He ticked “No” when asked if he was an unlawful user of or addicted to controlled substances. This purchase took place at StarQuest Shooters & Survival Supply in Wilmington, and Hunter pleaded not guilty.

During the reading of the verdict, Hunter Biden remained very still, his wide eyes fixed ahead. Before the verdict, he appeared more upbeat, even flashing a big smile at his defense team. However, as the counts were read, the atmosphere shifted. Hunter turned and hugged a member of his legal team, then stood and hugged his attorney, Abbe Lowell. He then kissed his wife, Melissa Cohen, and left the courtroom. His uncle, James Biden, appeared visibly upset.

This case also brings up a significant question: Will President Joe Biden keep his word?

In an interview with ABC’s David Muir, President Biden firmly stated that he would not pardon his son if found guilty. He emphasized, “Yes,” when asked if he would rule out a pardon, and he affirmed his commitment to accepting the trial’s outcome.

The courtroom proceedings have certainly been a tough time for the Biden family. Hunter was grappling with drug addiction following his brother Beau’s death, and this struggle has been a focal point throughout the trial. First Lady Dr. Jill Biden even attended the trial before heading to France for D-Day commemoration activities with her husband.
