McDonald’s is a great American company.
They are a legacy company in the United States and many of us at one time or another have worked there.
McDonald’s is a company and they are going to do things that they feel their customers want in order to make money and there’s nothing wrong with that. What may be wrong is that there is a demand for a new item they have put on their menu.
McDonald’s is adding a new adult Happy Meal in partnership with Pacsun and Away.
The “adult” Happy Meal gifts will feature “collectible tins that contain postcards and stickers inspired by the fantasy world’s characters such as Grimace and Birdie Aug. 12.”
I think it’s fair to say as older millennials hit middle age that it’s time for them to grow the heck up.
But no, instead you’ll see grown men go online and give a “review” of the adult Happy Meal and talk about how wonderful is. I wouldn’t be caught dead with an “adult” Happy Meal.
It’s like the gangs of adults that flood Disney living in a perpetual state of adolescence.
Not to get all preachy but the Apostle Paul had a great quote: “When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways.”
We need adults to get this country back on track and I’m pretty sure adult Happy Meal eating adolescence who never grew up is going to do it.
I know I may sound like a fuddy duddy but consider this. Imagine a World War Two veteran a few years after the war at work. Do you think he is ordering a Happy Meal?
No, he’s smoking a cigar and drinking bourbon. Now that’s a happy meal.
