Pelosi Comments On Trump After House Decision

Um, 2016 called, and they want their talking points back.

Just for fun, I did some digging.

Let’s rewind back to February 5, 2017, and hear what then-House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi had to say.

“I want to know what the Russians have on Donald Trump. I think we have to have an investigation by the FBI into his financial, personal and political connections to Russia and we want to see his tax returns so we can have truth in the relationship [with] Putin, whom he admires,” Pelosi said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

    That’s one example of many.

Numerous investigations were launched, and time and time again, it was learned that there was no collusion. We are all still young enough to remember Democrats gleefully laughing at the saying, “It’s Mueller time,” thinking the Mueller report would devastate Trump.

    Until it didn’t.

Now, let’s fast forward to 2024, shall we…

Before we post what she said, just remember that a court in New York just went through the President’s financials with a fine toothed comb and fined him a hefty amount.

Now, Rep. Nancy Pelosi gave an interview on MSNBC with former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, and the California congresswoman went off like it was 2017 all over again. The comments appear to stem from Speaker Johnson not brining the senate foreign aid bill to the floor for a vote.

“What do you think? We’re all wondering this question, Speaker Pelosi, what do you think Putin has on him?” Psaki asked in reply. “I mean, it sure seems like something, as you’ve said a few times, given that he refuses to criticize him, that he seems to be a fanboy of him. Are you worried?”

“First of all, we must be sure that he does not step one foot into the white House. Not as president or not as anything. He has brought disgrace to the White House, to these presidents,” responded Pelosi before eventually getting around to answering Psaki’s query.

“I don’t know what he has on him, but I think it’s probably financial, I think it’s probably financial. Either something financial he has him on or something on the come,” she submitted.

Folks, that was so wild that even Mediaite jabbed Pelosi with the title of the article.

    Here’s what Mediaite reported:

Trump connections to Russia were investigated for years both prior to and after his election as president. Many progressives speculated that Trump might actually be a Russian agent and that his hypothetical acts treason might be motivated by blackmail.

None of the formal investigations into the former president — including the one led by former Special Counsel Robert Mueller — ever turned up evidence to back up the hypothesis.

One must wonder how bad the internal polls are if Pelosi is out there yelling like it’s 2016 all over again.
