Obama Backs Harris

Former president Barack Obama and his influential wife, Michelle Obama, had been among the most prominent Democrats yet to declare their support for Vice President Kamala Harris. Harris appears to be on the way to securing the Democrat party’s nomination for the presidency.

The Harris campaign made the endorsement public through a cringy video. In this video, the Obamas are captured on a phone call with Harris. Michelle Obama was the first to voice her pride in Harris, referring to this election as a “historic” one. The former president then made the crucial announcement – the endorsement. “Michelle and I couldn’t be prouder to endorse you and do everything we can to help you through this election and into the Oval Office,” he stated.

The video was supposed to look “authentic”:

    B. OBAMA: Kamala!

    HARRIS: Hi!

    M. OBAMA: Hey there.

HARRIS: Ah, hi, you’re both together.

    M. OBAMA: I can’t have this phone call without saying to my girl Kamala that I am proud of you. This is going to be historic.

    B. OBAMA: We called to say, Michelle and I couldn’t be prouder to endorse you and to do everything we can to get you through this election and into the Oval Office.

HARRIS: Oh, my goodness. Michelle, Barack, this just means so much to me. I’m looking forward to doing this with the two of you, Doug and I both, and getting out there, being on the road, but most of all, I just want to tell you, the words you have spoken and the friendship you have given over all these years mean more than I can express. So thank you both so much, and uh, we’re gonna have some fun with this to aren’t we?

But, a writer from Red State Bonchie noticed something very obvious. Kamala’s team cut the video just as she began to cackle.
