So this little tidbit of information was buried in a Politico report covering the drama behind Hunter Biden’s legal counsel.
In 2019, Trump was impeached by the House over a phone call he had with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky when he was pressed about the firing of Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin.
Shokin is the infamous prosecutor that was fired during the Obama administration and the one that Biden bragged about.
Shokin was investigating Burisma, whom Hunter sat of the board, and the allegation was then Vice President Biden withheld $1 billion in loan guarantees until the prosecutor was fired.
Trump was impeached for allegedly withholding aid to Ukraine until they turned over the evidence that Biden was involved in Shokin’s firing.
Well, buried in the twenty-second paragraph of a Politico report, there is a fascinating tidbit.
From Politico:
In the summer of 2019, according to one of the slides, Biden got sober and started working to make amends with the IRS. But he faced an unusual complication: He was at the center of Trump’s first impeachment. The slide deck cites an email one of Biden’s advisers sent him on Jan. 26, 2020, saying they would need several hours to go through questions and find documents as they tried to settle his tax bill.
“I have a meeting tomorrow with impeachment lawyers for the day,” Biden replied. “It will have to wait until Tuesday I’m afraid.”
Oh really? Do you remember hearing about this?
And this curious fact: Hunter was involved in the Trump impeachment over Ukraine. In the summer of 2019, he tells an adviser he has an all-day meeting “with impeachment lawyers”. So let me get this straight…
It is alleged that then-President Biden was involved in the firing of a prosecutor who was investigating a company that has his son on the board. A few years later, then-President Trump is trying to get the dirt from Zelensky and he’s impeached for allegedly playing hardball based on information provided by a person on the board and the son of the guy who allegedly got the prosecutor fired.
It’s no wonder the Washington Post just published an op-ed calling for Biden to be fully investigated.
