School Board Makes Surprising Decision In Flag Controversy

A 12-year-old, with a supportive mother, has stood up to the woke mob and even got a Democrat Governor to support him.

Jaiden, a twelve-year-old student at The Vanguard School in Colorado Springs, faced disciplinary action from his teachers when he wore a backpack adorned with a patch featuring the Gadsden flag. As a result, he was removed from class and his mother was summoned to the office to address the situation.
As per a school staff member, the renowned flag was prohibited within the school premises due to its association with slavery and the slave trade. However, Jaiden’s upbrining taught him correctly what the flag’s true meaning was.

The mother of a young boy named Jaiden recorded her meeting with the school director. During the conversation, she disagreed with the notion that the Gadsden flag symbolizes slavery, highlighting its origin in the Revolutionary War. The director, however, maintained an aggressive, condescending stance throughout the video, citing the district’s policy as the reason for their position.

The administration claimed she could do nothing and was enforcing the rules.

After Jaiden was kicked out of class, his mother posted the meeting video on social media, which quickly went viral.

The video was so egregious that even Colorado’s Democrat Governor Jared Polis supported Jaiden and commented publicly on the video. To his credit, he has not deleted his comments as of the writing of this post.

“Obviously the Gadsden flag is a proud symbol of the American revolution and a iconic warning to Britain or any government not to violate the liberties of Americans,” Polis wrote on social media. “It appears on popular American medallions and challenge coins through today and Ben Franklin also adopted it to symbolize the union of the 13 colonies. It’s a great teaching moment for a history lesson!”

But that is not all.

The school board for the district also took action.

When the Vanguard School Board of Directors learned of the incident, they held an emergency meeting and issued a written statement.

The board said that since the school’s founding, they “proudly supported” the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, “and the ordered liberty that all Americans have enjoyed.” Reaffirming that they recognize the “historical significance of the Gadsden flag and its place in history.”

Members of the board voted to let the kid proudly wear the patch on his backpack but took the time to “reaffirm” their “deep commitment to a classical education in support of these American principles.”

A 12-year-old and his Mom took on a woke, condescending school administration and won.
