In a chilling reminder of how unhinged political discourse has become in parts of America, a Trump supporter in Seattle says her home was riddled with bullets this past weekend — and she believes it was because of her political beliefs.
According to police, the shooting occurred around 3 a.m. Sunday in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood. The woman, who has chosen to remain anonymous, was asleep when the shots were fired. When authorities arrived, they found multiple bullet holes in the windows and shell casings at the scene. A pickup truck on the property — displaying a Trump flag — also had its windows shattered.
Seattle Police confirmed that the home was “potentially targeted” due to “political and ideological signs” in the window. The signs included support for President Donald Trump, law enforcement, and even a Confederate flag — imagery that clearly triggered someone enough to respond with gunfire.
This wasn’t the first incident. The homeowner told KOMO-TV and FOX 13 that her home had already been vandalized twice before. One time, someone broke her truck windows and slapped “Pride” rainbow stickers on the vehicle — a not-so-subtle political message wrapped in vandalism.
“They always damage her window and car,” a neighbor, Ewa Sporna, told KOMO. “I thought once, twice — but a third time? That’s too much.”
Indeed. A neighbor even reported hearing the gunfire, describing it as “pop, pop, pop, a few times.” That neighbor is now considering moving out of fear.
While the Seattle Police Department is investigating, no arrests have been made, and the shooter remains at large. Yet the homeowner has made one thing clear: she’s not backing down.
“I’m not taking anything down,” she told reporters. Instead, she’s installing security cameras to protect her property and family.
Let that sink in. A woman’s home has been shot at — twice — because of the political stickers on her windows, and her response is not to retreat, but to fortify. She’s not the one escalating. She’s simply exercising free speech on her own property.
And what has the media said? What has the left said? Crickets.
Can you imagine the headlines if this had happened to a Biden or Bernie supporter in rural Texas? There would be wall-to-wall coverage, federal investigations, candlelight vigils, and “Democracy is under attack” editorials. But when it’s a conservative in a blue city? Apparently, it’s just collateral damage.
This is what tolerance looks like in leftist strongholds: vandalism, intimidation, and now, gunfire — all because someone dares to publicly support the “wrong” candidate.
It’s not political discourse anymore. It’s political terrorism. And it’s being tolerated — even normalized — in cities run by the very people who claim to champion inclusion and diversity.
Here’s the truth: there’s no justification for violence, no matter what bumper sticker someone puts on their truck or which flag they fly in their yard. When political affiliation becomes a bullet-worthy offense, the country has veered far past disagreement — and into dangerous territory.
