Well, well, well. It looks like the Georgia 2020 election interference case is hitting more roadblocks than a car chase in a Hollywood movie. A Fulton County judge just dismissed two more criminal counts against Donald Trump, along with a third charge for his allies. According to Judge Scott McAfee, the Georgia prosecutors simply overstepped their bounds, filing charges they had no authority to bring in federal court. Oops!
This is another win for Trump’s legal team, with his attorney Steve Sadow calling the dismissal a victory, adding a bit of swagger with the line, “The trial court has decided that counts 15 and 27 in the indictment must be quashed.” Looks like those particular charges have gone up in smoke, and Fani Willis, Fulton County’s District Attorney, isn’t exactly riding high on her case anymore.
My comment as Lead Counsel for President Trump in the Fulton County GA case:
President Trump and his legal team in Georgia have prevailed once again. The trial court has decided that counts 15 and 27 in the indictment must be quashed/dismissed.

Remember, this is the same DA who has been trying to pin Trump on anything related to 2020 election interference. Trump, of course, pleaded not guilty across the board. But it’s not the first setback Willis has faced—earlier this year, the judge tossed out six other charges for lack of detail. And then, let’s not forget the drama that unfolded when reports surfaced of her alleged improper affair with Nathan Wade, a prosecutor she brought in to help nail Trump. Spoiler alert: Wade was quickly removed from the case. Seems like a bit of a circus.
It seems she wants to play by a different rule book…telling, isn’t it?

FANI WILLIS IGNORES HER SUBPOENA!
Merrick Garland claims that we do not have a two tiered justice system. I guess we’re about to find out if that’s true or not…. pic.twitter.com/P10a1EbpC6

Fani Willis can’t show up for a super o but her and Nathan Wade sure showed up to her daughter’s arrest trying to intimidate the cops last month. Proves she lied on the stand. #FaniWillis pic.twitter.com/Bu8RAu00SZ

Now, the whole case has been thrown into limbo. The Georgia Court of Appeals hit the pause button on proceedings back in June, and they’re scheduled to take a look at disqualifying Willis entirely. When? Conveniently, after the 2024 presidential election—on December 5, to be exact. What a timeline.

In the meantime, while the racketeering charge still holds, you’ve got to wonder how long Willis can keep trying to push this boulder up the hill. For now, Trump and his legal team are celebrating another win, and Willis is left scrambling yet again. Let’s see how long this house of cards stays up!
