Some are saying that former President Trump may have caved in what at the least seems to be a policy shift.
Former President Donald Trump recently appeared on Fox News for an interview with Maria Bartiromo during “Sunday Morning Futures.”
The former president was asked about Ukraine and seemed to make a slight shift noting he would give arms and support to the country.
“I know Zelensky very well, and I know Putin very well, even better. And I had a good relationship, very good, with both of them,” Trump said. “I would tell Zelensky, no more. You got to make a deal. I would tell Putin, if you don’t make a deal, we’re going to give him a lot. We’re going to them more than they ever got if we have to. I will have the deal done in one day. One day.”
“We’re gonna give [Ukraine] a lot. We’re gonna give them more than they ever got if we have to.”
Trump says he’ll give more weapons to Zelensky if Putin doesn’t agree to a peace deal.

Long-time Trump supporter Ian Miles Cheong was not happy with Trump’s pivot.
“Trump praises Zelensky as “very honorable”. Says he’ll give Ukraine even more weapons. Now we know why he’s campaigning with Lindsey Graham,” Cheong said in response to the interview.
Conservative commentator, pollster, and activist helping conservatives get elected to local school boards Ryan Girdusky wasn’t happy either.
“This is basically what Biden is doing,” he said.
Republican strategists Matt Whitlock added that he wished the former president would have attended the Blaze TV event that took place a couple of days before Trump appeared on Fox.
During the Blaze TV event, Tucker Carlson interviewed each GOP candidate that attended and pressed all of them.
“Would have been VERY interesting to see how Tucker would have responded to this if Trump hadn’t hidden from the Iowa candidate forum on Friday,” Whitlock said.
Trump and Chris Christie were the only candidates who didn’t attend the event. The interview with Bartiromo aired after Trump spoke at the recent Turning Point Conference.
The Blaze TV event was incredible and one question from Tucker pretty much ended former Vice President Mike Pence’s political career.
Tucker Carlson just brutalized Mike Pence for prioritizing Ukraine despite a litany of social ills afflicting America:
Tucker: “Where’s the concern for the United States?”
Pence: “That’s not my concern. Tucker I’ve heard this routine from you before. That’s not my concern.” pic.twitter.com/1t3docDEsd
