As the aftermath of the FBI’s raid on Mar-a-Lago continues to evolve, former President Donald Trump and his supporters are continuing to exert political pressure on those who participated in the unprecedented act.
For Trump, much of the ire has been directed at the FBI itself, who he believes may have even been involved in a nefarious plot to “plant” evidence at his winter home.
Now, in a plea posted to Truth Social, the former Commander in Chief has a rather stark message for agents within the Bureau.
[…] in a TruthSocial post from Sunday Trump sought to undermine FBI leadership by seeking to stoke distrust and anger inside the agency.
“When are the great Agents, and others, in the FBI going to say ‘we aren’t going to take it anymore,” much as they did when James Comey read off a list of all of Crooked Hillary Clinton’s crimes, only to say that no reasonable prosecutor would prosecute.,” Trump said.
And then:
“The wonderful people of the FBI went absolutely “nuts,” so Comey had to backtrack and do a FAKE INVESTIGATION in order to keep them at bay,” he continued. “The end result, we won in 2016 (and did MUCH better in 2020!). But now the ‘Left’ has lost their minds!!!”
Trump has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing in the case, and has likened the Mar-a-Lago raid to a “witch hunt” aimed at disparaging him ahead of his likely 2024 campaign announcement.
The former President is also looking at way to reacquire the documents seized in the raid that he says were declassified before being transported.
