With the midterm elections of 2022 coming to a conclusion in the coming days, America’s attention will undoubtedly begin to turn toward 2024 and the already-bitter presidential race to come.
In this race, there is little doubt that Donald Trump will be one of, if not the most influential politician to throw his hat in the ring, but that doesn’t mean that the presumptive nominee will be cruising straight to primary victory. In fact, there are a number of prominent Republicans eying the highewst office in the land, and this has Trump’s lawyers growing irate.
Donald Trump’s lawyer Alina Habba issued a stern warning to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Monday night at the former president’s rally in Dayton, Ohio, telling the unofficial 2024 Republican presidential contender to stand down. “DeSantis is DeSantis because of Trump,” Habba said on the pro-Trump YouTube channel Right Side Broadcasting Network. “He needs to stay in Florida,” she added. To that, fellow Trump lawyer and RSBN contributor Christina Bobb responded: “100% percent.”
And there was more where that came from:
Habba proceeded to double down, stating: “Just stay where you are. You are doing a great job in Florida.” Offering additional unsolicited advice to DeSantis, she said: “Don’t jump the gun. He’s not ready yet.”
DeSantis has been steadily polling as Americans second favorite potenital 2024 GOP nominee, but still hasn’t been able to hold a candle to Trump’s popularity.
