In classic Trump fashion, the President sat down with Fox News host Sean Hannity and offered what can only be described as a masterclass in mockery, political strategy, and unsolicited advice—all laced with his signature wit. His target? The Democratic Party, which he described as so consumed by identity politics, anti-Trump obsession, and fringe ideology that they’re actively sabotaging themselves at the ballot box.
And his advice for them? Just be normal. But as he hilariously pointed out, that’s apparently asking too much.
.@POTUS on the state of the Democrat Party: “It would be harder to beat them if they were normal on things… They’re almost insane. And they do suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome at a high level and I guess I’m honored by that.” pic.twitter.com/kPiYtt4UiN

Early in the exchange, Trump delivered what may go down as one of the most backhandedly brilliant political jabs in recent memory. Watching a Democrat on TV advocating for biological males to compete in women’s sports, Trump said he almost felt bad for them.
“I think they don’t know what to do, like men playing in women’s sports,” he said, shaking his head in disbelief.
He recounted being tempted to call the lawmaker and offer a warning: “This is a 99–1 issue.” It was Trump’s way of highlighting how far out of touch Democrats have drifted from mainstream voters. “Look,” he added, “I don’t like talking about it because I don’t want to talk them out of it. It would be harder to beat them if they were normal on things.”
Translation? He’s rooting for their self-destruction—because at this rate, he doesn’t even have to try that hard to win.
While Trump laid out a focused message on economic growth, trade deals, and national stability, he noted that Democrats are still stuck on their broken record: “Get Trump.” It’s all they know, and it’s all they’ve got left.
“It shows that they’re almost insane, and they do suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome at a high level,” he added. “And I guess I’m honored by that.”
Meanwhile, the Democratic approval ratings are in the basement, according to recent polling. With transgender athletes, defund-the-police rhetoric, open-border sympathy, and unlimited abortion support dominating their platform, it’s no mystery why voters are jumping ship. Trump’s take? Their agenda is about as popular as “dysentery and cockroach infestations.”
In one of the most jaw-dropping bits of political theater in recent memory, a group of anti-Trump activists recently flew a plane over Mar-a-Lago with a banner reading “Qatar-a-Lago”—a not-so-subtle jab at the president’s relationship with Qatar. Trump, unsurprisingly, didn’t flinch. If anything, he appeared amused.
This kind of stunt is symptomatic of a party that’s out of ideas and desperately clinging to symbolism over substance. Rather than offering policy solutions or a unifying vision, they’re literally taking to the skies with hashtags and gotcha banners. It’s not leadership—it’s performance art.
Democrats just couldn’t bring themselves to act like rational human beings for one night.

If the latest co/efficient poll is any indication, the Democrats are embracing the chaos. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez leads the pack with 26 percent of support to be the party’s “face,” followed by Bernie Sanders (12%) and Rep. Jasmine Crockett (8%).
This lineup—featuring a self-declared socialist, a career radical, and a TikTok liberal firebrand—is the best evidence yet that the Democratic base isn’t pulling back from the cliff—they’re building a stage on it.
And while Trump chuckled at their dysfunction, the reality is even more damning for Democrats: All they have to do is be normal on things, and they could compete. But they can’t. The fringe has overtaken the center. The circus now runs the tent.
