AOC Comments On Senators Claim

Well, here we are again, watching the left eat itself alive.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., decided to go after Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., for daring to have a spine and stand by Israel. You’d think Democrats could at least keep their arguments behind closed doors, but no—AOC took to Twitter to slam Fetterman’s “bleak dunk attempt” after he rightfully pointed out the real culprit behind the tragedy in Gaza: Hamas.

Fetterman didn’t pull any punches in his response to the violence. He made it crystal clear who’s responsible when he tweeted: “The tragedy in Gaza is 100% on Hamas. Stop using civilians and hospitals as shields, surrender, and release all remaining hostages—and this ends.” Now, that sounds pretty straightforward to most people.

But AOC, being AOC, couldn’t resist injecting herself into the conversation with a lecture about “human rights” and how the U.S. is supposedly complicit in some imaginary atrocity. Because, of course, in her world, it’s always about how America is the bad guy. She even threw in the word “genocide” for good measure.

Let’s break this down: Fetterman, someone who’s been consistent in his support for Israel, condemned Hamas and asked them to stop using innocent civilians as shields. That’s not controversial. It’s common sense. But AOC, who seems to think she’s got a PhD in Middle Eastern politics after a couple of years in Congress, had to weigh in with her grandstanding about “unspeakable atrocities” committed by Israel. Funny how she never mentions Hamas when she talks about the atrocities. Maybe it’s because acknowledging that would throw a wrench into her perpetual “America is evil” narrative.

AOC’s outrage is always selective. She’s all in on blaming Israel and the Biden administration for defending an ally under attack but curiously silent when it comes to condemning Hamas’s October 7 attack, which included murder, rape, and kidnappings. Does she care about those victims? Or do they not fit neatly into her progressive talking points?

And let’s not even get started on her call for an arms embargo. Sure, AOC, let’s strip Israel of the ability to defend itself against terrorists who’ve made it their mission to wipe them off the map. Sounds like a solid plan… if you’re Hamas. Meanwhile, Fetterman—whether you agree with his politics or not—at least understands the basic reality that Israel has a right to defend itself. You’d think that’d be a baseline for any member of Congress, but apparently not in today’s Democrat Party.

So, while Fetterman stands firm, AOC continues to throw her weight behind dangerous rhetoric that does nothing but embolden terrorists. Maybe next time, she should stick to topics she actually understands—whatever those might be—rather than taking ill-informed swipes at her own party members for doing the right thing.
