First Lady Jill Biden recently appeared on the CBS Morning News show on April 3, 2024. She was there to surprise the person selected to be Teacher of the Year, but while she was there, she took a couple of questions from a panel.
During the segment, the First Lady was asked about campaign questions and it didn’t go over well.
One of the people on the panel asked how things are inside the White House when polls like the latest Wall Street Journal show Biden is struggling in battleground states.
Jill got mad, and the look on her face said it all.
“No, he’s not losing in all the battleground states. He’s coming up. And he’s even or doing better,” she snapped. “You know what? Once people start to focus in and they see their two choices, it’s obvious that Joe will win this election.”

The poll the CBS host was referring to showed that Trump was leading Biden in several swing states except for Wisconsin.
From the Wall Street Journal:
Donald Trump is leading President Biden in six of the seven most competitive states in the 2024 election, propelled by broad voter dissatisfaction with the national economy and deep doubts about Biden’s capabilities and job performance, a new Wall Street Journal poll finds.
The poll of the election’s main battlegrounds shows Trump holding leads of between 2 and 8 percentage points in six states—Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona, Georgia, Nevada and North Carolina—on a test ballot that includes third-party and independent candidates. Trump holds similar leads when voters are asked to choose only between him and Biden.
The one outlier is Wisconsin, where Biden leads by 3 points on the multiple-candidate ballot, and where the two candidates are tied in a head-to-head matchup.
