And here we have yet another celebrity meltdown over Elon Musk and Donald Trump daring to govern as actual conservatives.
This time, it’s none other than Sheryl Crow, who apparently believes that selling her used Tesla in a dramatic protest will somehow strike a fatal blow to Musk’s role in the Trump administration. Spoiler alert: it won’t.
Crow, a longtime Democrat and vocal critic of Trump, announced on Instagram that she was parting ways with her Tesla because “you are who you hang out with.” A deep and original thought, no doubt. She even posted a video of her car being towed away, as if she were making a grand political statement instead of just getting rid of an old vehicle Musk’s company already profited from.
To top it off, she revealed that she’s donating money to NPR—a taxpayer-funded propaganda machine that’s currently facing the very real possibility of losing its federal funding thanks to its blatant left-wing bias and deeply concerning comments from its CEO about how the First Amendment is just a little too “robust” for her liking.
The internet, of course, wasted zero time in pointing out the obvious. Gunther Eagleman responded to Crow’s “you are who you hang out with” moralizing by posting a photo of her cozying up to none other than Harvey Weinstein—you know, the convicted Hollywood rapist.
And Ann Coulter, never one to miss an opportunity for a sharp jab, summed up Crow’s new career trajectory perfectly: “With Her Musical Career Behind Her, Sheryl Crow Is Now Selling Used Cars.”
But it didn’t stop there. Even Trump’s FCC Chair Brendan Carr weighed in, sarcastically applauding Crow’s decision: “I appreciate Sheryl Crow making an argument here—not through words alone, but through her actions—that Congress should not force taxpayers to subsidize NPR. Bravo.”
He then took it a step further, adding that it really wouldn’t take that many celebrities selling their Teslas to keep NPR afloat without taxpayer dollars. In other words, if Crow and her elite liberal friends actually cared about NPR’s survival, they could fund it themselves instead of forcing hard-working Americans to do it. But that, of course, would require personal sacrifice—something leftists rarely entertain.
Meanwhile, back in the real world, Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is steamrolling ahead, auditing bloated federal agencies and eliminating wasteful spending. And no matter how many Teslas Sheryl Crow or any other celebrity sells, Musk and Trump aren’t slowing down. In fact, the two are set to sit down for a Fox News interview on Tuesday to discuss the first 100 days of the administration and what’s next for the government overhaul.
