Johnson Posts Video Of CBS Appearance

Well, here we go again—another day, another mainstream media outlet caught playing favorites. This time it’s CBS News, which is apparently trying to help Kamala Harris and the Biden administration clean up their messes by selectively editing interviews. House Speaker Mike Johnson is calling them out, and he’s got the receipts.

Let’s start with Johnson’s appearance on Face the Nation. Now, it’s common for TV news to trim interviews for time. We get it—nobody wants to sit through an hour-long conversation when we all have things to do. But there’s a big difference between trimming for time and hacking up key responses to protect your favorite politicians. CBS took five critical minutes out of Johnson’s interview, and as you might guess, they just so happened to be the parts where he laid out how the Biden administration has completely fumbled hurricane relief efforts in North Carolina. According to Johnson, nearly two weeks after Hurricane Helene, victims still hadn’t received the help they desperately needed, and what did CBS do? They clipped that entire portion out. Convenient, isn’t it?

And if you thought that was bad, just wait. Johnson also talked about Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin’s efforts to clean up the state’s voter rolls—something most Americans would agree is a good thing. After all, who wants non-citizens voting in American elections? But, shocker, CBS edited that out too. The Biden administration’s Department of Justice is actually suing Virginia for trying to make sure only American citizens can vote. That’s right—apparently, securing election integrity is a crime these days, at least according to the Democrats and their friends in the media.

But CBS wasn’t done there. When it came to Johnson’s remarks on the SAVE Act, a piece of legislation passed by the House to ensure only American citizens can vote, they snipped those comments as well. Instead of focusing on the immediate threat of non-citizen voting, CBS decided to rehash the 2020 election because, you know, they just can’t let that go.

What’s most interesting about this whole debacle is that CBS has been facing heat for doing the exact same thing with Kamala Harris. When Harris gave a rambling, incoherent answer during a 60 Minutes interview about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the network conveniently swapped in a different response during their primetime airing. How convenient. Conservatives have been pointing out for days that CBS edited out Harris’s awkward, widely mocked answer to protect her from further embarrassment.

At this point, CBS News isn’t just trimming interviews for time—they’re cutting out the truth. Whether it’s Mike Johnson exposing the Biden administration’s failures or Kamala Harris fumbling her way through foreign policy, CBS seems to be working overtime to make sure their Democratic friends get the best possible coverage, while Republicans get the short end of the stick.

The double standards are glaring, and Americans deserve better than this. Selective editing, twisting narratives, and protecting politicians from their own blunders—it’s all just another day in the world of mainstream media. Maybe CBS should focus more on journalism and less on running damage control for the Biden-Harris administration.
