Well, folks, if you were expecting a quiet, rubber-stamp confirmation hearing for Kash Patel as the next FBI director, you clearly haven’t been paying attention. With hours left to go, Patel has already put on a masterclass in how to take a partisan hit job and flip it right back on the people throwing the punches.
From the very beginning, Patel made it clear that he’s not here to play defense—he’s here to fix the FBI. And he’s got every reason to take this personally. The man has lived through the worst abuses of the deep state: illegal surveillance, media smears, financial ruin, and even threats on his life—all because he dared to expose corruption in the intelligence community.
“Having been the victim of government overreach and a weaponized system of justice and law enforcement, I know what it feels like to have the full weight of the United States government barrelling down on you,” Patel told the committee. “If confirmed, you have my commitment that no one in this country will feel that pain.”
Boom. That’s the kind of leadership the FBI desperately needs right now.
Grassley Exposes “Arctic Frost”—the FBI’s Latest Dirty Trick
Then came a bombshell. Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley kicked off the hearing by reading never-before-seen emails that revealed a stunning level of corruption inside the FBI. These emails detailed “Arctic Frost,” a secret operation to fabricate an election-related case against Trump—all without legitimate legal grounds.
NEW: Dem Sen Dick Durbin tries cornering Kash Patel on Trump’s pardons, Patel quickly flips the script and rips Biden for commutating the sentence of a man who shot two FBI agents in the head.

That’s right: the same FBI that spent years covering up Hunter Biden’s laptop, ignoring actual corruption, and targeting everyday Americans as “domestic extremists” was apparently running an off-the-books political hit job against Trump.
If Patel needed any more justification for cleaning house at the Bureau, this was it.
Of course, the usual suspects tried to turn this into a January 6th hearing. Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) came in hot, demanding Patel answer for Trump’s recent pardons and commutations.
But Patel was ready. Instead of taking the bait, he turned the question right back on the Democrats, pointing out Joe Biden’s own history of pardoning violent criminals—including convicted murderers.
One of the more shocking cases involved a drug lord who ordered the execution of a mother and her young son to prevent them from testifying. Biden pardoned him in one of his final acts as president. And yet, Democrats want to pretend that Trump’s pardons are the real scandal?
Patel’s response?
“Long story short, Democrats have no room to caterwaul about the January 6th pardons after they sat idly by while the former president pardoned murderers, rapists, corrupt politicians, and even his own family members.”
At that moment, you could probably hear the air go out of Durbin’s lungs.
Later in the hearing, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) gave Patel the chance to talk about the abuse he’s endured simply for being a Trump ally. That’s when Patel revealed something truly disturbing—racially charged death threats he received after Democrats leaked his personal information.
“Because of my personal information being released by Congress, I was subjected to a direct and significant threat on my life,” Patel said.
And it wasn’t just any threat. Patel described explicitly racist hate mail, including:
- “A detestable sand [expletive] who had no right being in this country…”
- “You should go back to where you came from…”
- “You belong with your terrorist home friends.”
Absolutely disgusting. And yet, where was the media outrage? Where were the Democrats condemning this? Nowhere. Because as far as they’re concerned, certain kinds of threats don’t count.
But Patel wasn’t about to let them off the hook:
“That’s just a piece of it, but that’s nothing compared to what the men and women in law enforcement face every day, and that’s why they have my support.”
In other words: If these swamp creatures thought Patel was going to crumble under their attacks, they badly miscalculated.
🚨🔥Kash Patel FIERCELY counters Dick Durbin’s insinuation of racism:
“I certainly don’t believe that an individual who is the first minority to serve as the Deputy Director of National Security is a racist and detest any conjecture to the contrary.”
