Phillip Comments On Fact Checking

Well, isn’t this just a cozy little arrangement? CNN anchor Abby D. Phillip practically bending over backward to justify the blatant bias of the debate moderators—and why? Because apparently, we’re supposed to believe Kamala Harris doesn’t lie as much as Trump. Abby’s defense? “Asymmetrical lying.” What does that even mean? That Kamala’s lies are just…better lies? Or maybe they’re lies the media is perfectly comfortable with because they’re coming from the left. Either way, it’s the kind of excuse-making only a CNN anchor could spin with a straight face.

Let’s be clear: Harris was no stranger to dishonesty during that debate. In fact, according to Breitbart News, she clocked in at a whopping 21 lies. Yet, somehow, ABC’s David Muir and Linsey Davis didn’t feel the need to hit her with a single fact-check. Trump, meanwhile, got fact-checked at least seven times, even when it was just his opinion! And CNN’s Daniel Dale? Well, he claims Trump told “at least 33 lies,” while Harris squeaked by with “at least one.” Really? Just one? I suppose when you’re the media darling, you get a pass.

Now, here’s where it gets even juicier. It turns out that Linsey Davis, one of the debate moderators, just happens to be Kamala Harris’s sorority sister. Yep, both Davis and Harris are members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. It’s not exactly a secret, but it sure wasn’t mentioned before the debate. Isn’t it convenient that the person moderating the debate and supposedly holding the candidates accountable shares a sisterly bond with one of the candidates? Bias? What bias?

Social media wasted no time pointing out this little conflict of interest. And, of course, Davis’ sorority connection to Harris is just one more layer to the media’s love affair with the VP. One post sarcastically asked, “WHO ALLOWED THIS TO HAPPEN?”—and it’s a valid question. Imagine if the roles were reversed and Trump’s moderator had a personal connection like this. There would be outrage and demands for resignations faster than you can say, “Russia collusion.”

But here we are, with the moderators fact-checking Trump like it’s their part-time job, while Harris sails through with a free pass, helped along by her sorority sister on stage. Unity and sisterhood, indeed.

So, while the media tries to smooth over this mess with lame excuses about “asymmetrical lying,” voters aren’t buying it. They see right through the smoke and mirrors. After all, it’s not just about who tells the most lies—it’s about who gets away with them. And in this debate, Kamala Harris walked away untouched, thanks to her friends in the media.
