Protestors Hold Demonstration Outside Ski Resort

The fallout from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s disastrous White House meeting with President Donald Trump continues to spiral, with the political left now resorting to outright harassment. Vice President JD Vance and his family were forced to leave a Vermont ski resort and move to an undisclosed location after being met by a mob of pro-Ukraine protesters, some of whom held signs calling him a “traitor” and “Nazi scum.”

The protest, which took place at Sugarbush Ski Resort, was a direct response to Vance’s firm stance against Zelensky’s increasingly desperate demands for more American support. Videos circulating online show protesters waving signs that read “Trump serves Putin” and “Stand with Ukraine,” as if demanding accountability for billions in U.S. taxpayer dollars equates to Russian allegiance. One skier watching the scene called the protesters “[expletive] morons.”

Vance and his family initially tried to avoid the mob by skiing on a different side of the mountain, but after the situation escalated, they were moved for their safety.

This latest incident comes just a day after Zelensky was unceremoniously ejected from the White House following a fiery exchange with Trump, Vance, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. What was supposed to be a diplomatic discussion quickly unraveled as Zelensky repeatedly interrupted Trump and refused to acknowledge the massive military and financial support Ukraine has already received from the United States.

When Zelensky claimed that Ukraine had been “alone” in its war against Russia, Trump didn’t hold back:

“You haven’t been alone. We gave you, through [our] stupid president, $350 billion. We gave you military equipment … If you didn’t have our military equipment, this war would’ve been over in two weeks.”

Vance also called out Zelensky for his arrogance, reminding him that while Ukraine continues to send untrained conscripts to the front lines, Trump is actively working to bring an end to the bloodshed.

“With respect, I think it’s disrespectful for you to come into the Oval Office to try to litigate this in front of the American media,” Vance said. “You should be thanking the president for trying to bring an end to this conflict.”

The meeting ended with Zelensky refusing to sign the rare-earth minerals deal he had previously agreed to, a move that solidified Trump’s belief that the Ukrainian president has no real interest in peace—only in prolonging the war for as long as the U.S. bankrolls it.

Trump later confirmed Zelensky’s departure in a statement on Truth Social:

“I have determined that President Zelenskyy is not ready for Peace if America is involved, because he feels our involvement gives him a big advantage in negotiations. I don’t want advantage, I want PEACE. He disrespected the United States of America in its cherished Oval Office. He can come back when he is ready for Peace.”

Zelensky’s allies in the media and Democratic Party have been in full meltdown mode ever since, attempting to spin the Oval Office disaster into another Russia, Russia, Russia conspiracy. But now, that rhetoric has turned into direct action, with pro-Ukraine activists targeting the sitting vice president’s family while they were on a private vacation.

Let’s imagine for a moment that the roles were reversed—if a group of right-wing protesters had mobbed Kamala Harris and her family while she was vice president. The outrage would be deafening. But because it’s JD Vance, the same media outlets that cheered on this harassment will call it “activism.”
