Schumer Comments On Trump’s Decision About USAID

Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) have officially set off a political earthquake in Washington, and the usual suspects are losing their minds.

The Senate’s top Democrat, Chuck Schumer, took to social media to accuse Musk and DOGE of orchestrating what he dramatically called a “hostile takeover” of the federal government. The irony? That’s exactly what Musk is trying to prevent—an unelected bureaucracy running the country with no accountability.

Let’s be clear about what DOGE actually does.

Musk was personally tasked by President Trump to lead an aggressive effort to root out government waste, inefficiency, and fraud. And the response from Washington has been nothing short of hysteria.

The bureaucratic class is terrified—and for good reason. For decades, they’ve operated unchecked, burning through trillions in taxpayer dollars on bloated programs, useless initiatives, and outright corruption.

Now? There’s a wood chipper in town, and it has its sights set on the swamp.

Schumer, in a panicked press conference, declared:

“An unelected shadow government is conducting a hostile takeover of the federal government!”

Translation: The people we can’t control are finally checking how we spend your money, and we don’t like it.

Schumer continued:
“DOGE is not a real government agency. DOGE has no authority to make spending decisions. DOGE has no authority to shut programs down or to ignore federal law.”

Funny how Schumer and his allies never cared about unelected bureaucrats making spending decisions—until those bureaucrats were forced to justify where the money was actually going.

Musk, never one to back down from a fight, responded directly to Schumer’s meltdown:

“Hysterical reactions like this is how you know that @DOGE is doing work that really matters.”

He went further, making it clear that this is a once-in-a-lifetime moment to gut the bloated bureaucracy:

“This is the one shot the American people have to defeat BUREAUcracy, rule of the bureaucrats, and restore DEMOcracy, rule of the people. We’re never going to get another chance like this. It’s now or never.”

And he’s absolutely right. The American people finally have a chance to reclaim their government from the unelected elites who have been funneling billions to their political allies under the radar for years.

Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries aren’t just whining on social media—they’re actively trying to sabotage Musk’s efforts.

Schumer declared that if the Treasury Secretary doesn’t cut off DOGE’s ability to review payments, he and Jeffries will push legislation to do it themselves.

Their excuse? Protecting Social Security and Medicare payments.

Which is hilarious, because DOGE isn’t touching any payments to American citizens.

Musk put it bluntly:
“Doge has not looked at, nor is there any interest in, private financial data. What would we even do with it? The outgoing payment review process just looks at potential fraud and wasteful spending to organizations. Corrupt politicians are the ones complaining. I wonder why?”

That last part is the real story here.

Because if Schumer, Jeffries, and the rest of the D.C. machine were confident that there was no fraud, no corruption, and no bloat, they’d welcome DOGE’s review with open arms.

Instead, they’re treating it like a five-alarm fire.

Why? Because they know what’s about to be exposed.
