Judge In Criminal Case Issues Order To Trump

Well, talk about shooting yourself in the foot, lol!

Manhattan Judge Juan Merchan has pretty much frozen at least one of Trump’s federal cases until the trial is over.

“Jack Smith hardest hit,” investigative reporter Julie Kelly wrote on X. “Judge Cannon in FLA already made clear she will not hold any hearings that Trump is unable to attend due to other court obligations. This will push ongoing pretrial proceedings back two months.”

Why?

Judge Merchan has warned former President Trump that if he fails to appear in court during the trial he will be arrested. Meaning that Trump must be in the courtroom until possibly June every day until the trial is over.

Smith was hoping to get his cases moving along however, it looks like he is going to have to wait even longer.

“They will try to take away my freedom because I will never let them take away your freedoms,” Trump said in a pre-court video released on Truth Social. “They will try to silence me because I will never let them silence you. They want you silent, and I’m the only one who can save this nation because you know they’re not coming after me, they’re coming after you.”

Additionally, DA Alvin Bragg has filed a motion against former President Trump that would incarcerate him for 30 days if he violates the gag order imposed on him.
