Trump Responds To Speech

Former President Trump is no stranger to being live fact-checked by news organizations while he’s speaking.

The former President recently announced that he will do the same to President Biden during his State of the Union address before Congress.

Trump wrote on the social media platform Truth Social, “I am pleased to inform you that tomorrow night we will be doing a LIVE, Play by Play, of Crooked Joe Biden’s State of the Union Address,” he said. “I will correct, in rapid response, any and all inaccurate Statements, especially pertaining to the Border and his Weaponization of the DOJ, FBI, A.G.s, and District Attorneys, to go after his Political Opponent, ME (something never done before in this Country!). We did this once before to tremendous success – Beating All Records. It is important for the Country to get the TRUTH!”

Former President Trump did something similar last year.

“If properly done, and if Joe has just a modestly good night, this speech has the opportunity to rival any of the World’s great orators, including, Lincoln, Washington, and, of course, the late, great, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Sir Winston Churchill,” he wrote during last years address.

On the eve of Biden’s anticipated speech, White House staff suffered another embarrassing social media blunder. According to reports including the RNC, Biden’s social media account deleted posts after the link directed users to Biden’s speech last year. It appears that whoever posted the link didn’t make sure the old one cleared the data attached to it from the previous year (a very simplified explanation for computer tech). It’s a rookie mistake, and it almost means nobody is looking at what they are doing and checking their work. Before the person hit the publish button, they should have caught it.
