Alright, folks, here’s the latest shake-up in the Russia-Ukraine war, and this one’s big—Trump has hit the brakes on all U.S. military aid to Ukraine. That’s right, all of it, including weapons already in transit. And if you’ve been paying attention, this move shouldn’t come as a surprise.
This all started last week, when President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy sat down at the White House for what was supposed to be a major diplomatic breakthrough. The U.S. had put together a minerals-for-security trade deal, a way to tie Ukraine and the U.S. together economically. But the entire thing fell apart—on live television—when Zelenskyy started pushing back on Trump’s demands for a peace deal with Russia.
Zelenskyy litigated the terms of diplomacy right there in the press conference, essentially calling out Trump’s approach in front of the world. And Trump didn’t take it lightly.
Since then, Trump has made it clear that he does not believe Zelenskyy is serious about ending the war. So now, the U.S. is shutting off the military aid tap—at least for now.
A White House official confirmed to Fox News that the move is not a permanent termination of aid, but a pause—until Ukraine shows a real commitment to peace.
“The orders are going out right now,” the official said, meaning that any military assistance still in the pipeline just got frozen.
Here is some truth: Putin invaded Ukraine. NATO is the most successful military alliance in history. Since 1945, American leadership has ensured freedom and security for ourselves and millions of others around the world. Together with our allies, we defeated the Soviet Union—an…

Zelenskyy’s camp, meanwhile, is standing firm. One Ukrainian defense adviser told Fox News that they won’t sign any agreement that doesn’t come with ironclad U.S. security guarantees.
“We cannot just sign an … agreement without any substantial guarantees,” the adviser said. “It’s not going to work. It’s just going to reward the aggressor.”
That’s a clear line in the sand—Ukraine doesn’t want to give up territory, and Trump wants an immediate end to the war.
Despite the high-profile clash, Zelenskyy isn’t burning the bridge just yet. In an interview with Fox News anchor Bret Baier, he emphasized the historic bond between Ukraine and the U.S., making sure to thank the American people for their continued support.
“Of course, thankful to the president, and, of course, to Congress, but first of all, to your people,” Zelenskyy said.
Dear Ms. Cheney,
I’m late to the conversation, but let’s add some much-needed context to your stance on Ukraine by looking at the legacy you come from.

That’s a smart play, because Trump has made it clear that gratitude—or the lack of it—is a major factor in his decisions.
Trump didn’t hold back when asked about his stance.
“I just think he should be more appreciative because this country has stuck with him through thick and thin,” Trump said, reminding everyone that the U.S. has done far more for Ukraine than Europe has.
“We’ve given them much more than Europe, and Europe should have given more than us because, as you know, that’s right there, that’s the border.”
Translation: The European Union has been relying on American money and weapons to bankroll this war, and Trump is done footing the bill.
