President recently decided to pay a visit to Tampa.
Hoping to draw a sharp contrast between him and his potential Republican challenger, the former President Donald Trump. With Trump being held up in a New York courtroom due to a felony trial, Biden thought he’d wander into the deep red country to campaign in Florida,
Biden decided to head to Tampa, to attack the states new law that will ban abortions after the first six weeks of pregnancy.
There is a proposed amendment on the November ballot to extend that ban to 24 weeks.
Governor Ron DeSantis has described the amendment as ‘radical,’ primarily due to its potential to override parental consent laws. Now, a recent Emerson College poll suggests that 40% of voters are planning to vote yes on the abortion amendment. But the amendment needs 60% support to pass, so the final outcome is still very uncertain.
But it was what Biden did during the Tampa rally that has Catholics furious.
Biden was standing with a woman who was introducing him. She was denouncing DeSantis for supporting a six week ban bill and as she did Biden crossed himself.
“Biden’s decision to make the Sign of the Cross in support of abortion extremism is a despicable charade that attempts to co-opt a sacred practice in support of his new abortion religion. His gesture openly mocks the Christian belief in the sanctity of life. There is no divine support for destroying the lives of innocent children, and he should know better. Biden’s gesture suggests he is either terribly naive, or senile, or callously indifferent to the foundational beliefs of millions of Christians in America,” a furious Brian Burch said who is President of the group Catholic Vote.

While there Biden made a gross comment about the Bible as well.
