Biden Gives Speech After Border Bill Text Released

On the evening of February 5th, 2024, it became apparent that the Senate Border Security Bill wouldn’t make it through Congress.

Speaker of the House Mike Johnson announced that he was going to put together a standalone bill to get funding for Israel and there were rumors that standalone bills would also be proposed for Ukraine and the Border.

Almost immediately, someone at the White House said that Biden would veto the bill.
“The Administration spent months working with a bipartisan group of Senators to reach a national security agreement that secures the border and provides support for the people of Ukraine and Israel while also providing much-needed humanitarian assistance to civilians affected by conflicts around the world,” the White House said in a statement. “Instead of working in good faith to address the most pressing national security challenges, this bill is another cynical political maneuver.”

“The security of Israel should be sacred, not a political game,” the statement continued.

The following day, Biden scuttled out for a speech addressing the border, claiming the crisis was all Trump’s fault but that he wishes to put toxic politics aside.

The President – who has a historic record low approval rating – also said that he serves “the American people! I’m here to solve problems!”

Biden took a couple of questions and was asked if he would support a standalone bill, and he didn’t say “no,” which is what the White House said the day before.

But it got even worse for Biden’s team and has to do with the above clip. Biden referred to Hamas as “the opposition.”

Folks, since the war broke out in Israel, we’ve watched a chunk of the Democrat party’s base speak out against Biden’s policy. It’s so bad that leaders in Dearborn, Michigan, refused to meet with his campaign. So imagine him signing the standalone bill coupled with the clip below. Biden going to have trouble politically getting himself out of this one.
